In 1937, Robert M. Sides, a piano tuner by trade, began selling pianos from his home in Williamsport, PA. Soon, his reputation for quality expanded to include other musical products and he moved into a small storefront. Over the years, the business expanded to include a wide inventory of musical instruments and in 1960, his son Pete joined the enterprise. Soon, Robert M. Sides was the premier music store in the region and in 1984, Pete realized his dream of the ultimate family music center... a 52,000 square foot modern facility housing a 250-seat recital hall with Allen pipe organ, showrooms for pianos; home and church organs; band. orchestra and live performance instruments as well as private lesson rooms for music instruction and space for repair of all types of instruments as well as restoration of antique pianos.
Today, with added locations in Wilkes-Barre and State College, Robert M. Sides is still a family owned and operated business with Pete, his wife Carol, his mother Ellin, his daughter Alysha, and his son Peter all providing the same personal attention and quality products to their customers.
